P84 Social Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of P84 Social, the family-oriented social network operated by Project 84 LLC at project84.net and socialmedia.project84.net (the "Services"). By creating an account, signing in, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to register an independent account. Users under 13 may only use P84 Social through a parent- or guardian-managed child account created by an adult who accepts these Terms on the child's behalf.
You agree to provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials secure, and notify us promptly of unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account unless we determine otherwise after investigation.
2. Family Accounts and Parental Responsibilities
Parents and legal guardians who create or manage child or teen accounts are responsible for supervising use of the Services, configuring safety settings, and ensuring household members follow these Terms. Restricted mode and other safety defaults may apply to child and teen accounts.
Where the product allows parental visibility into a managed account's messages, posts, or calls, that feature exists for family safety — not for covert surveillance of unrelated adults without consent.
3. License to Use the Services
Subject to these Terms, Project 84 LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use P84 Social for personal, non-commercial purposes (unless we approve a separate commercial or creator agreement). We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or interfere with the Services; bypass security or rate limits; use automated means to access the Services without permission; or use the Services to build a competing product.
4. User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of content you create, subject to third-party rights. By posting, streaming, messaging, or otherwise submitting UGC, you grant Project 84 LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for technical delivery), display, distribute, and promote your content solely to operate, improve, and market the Services — including showing your public posts to other users and promoting P84 Social with excerpts you make publicly available.
You represent that you have the rights to post your content and that it does not violate law or these Terms. Do not post content you do not have permission to share.
5. Acceptable Use and Community Standards
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, bully, or discriminate against others.
- Post sexual content involving minors, exploitation, illegal activity, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Share malware, spam, deceptive schemes, or impersonate another person or brand.
- Attempt to access another user's account or bypass parental, age, or safety controls.
- Use live, messaging, or shop features to defraud users or sell prohibited goods.
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of others.
Zero tolerance. P84 Social has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We may remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, and report serious violations to platforms or authorities.
6. Live, Messages, and Commerce
Live broadcasts, direct messages, and creator shop features are part of the Services. You are responsible for what you stream, send, or sell. Project 84 LLC does not endorse user content and is not a party to transactions between users unless we explicitly state otherwise. Additional commerce terms may apply to paid features.
7. Moderation and Enforcement
We may monitor, review, filter, or remove UGC and may restrict accounts with or without notice when we believe these Terms, our policies, or applicable law require it. Users can report content and block others in the app. We aim to review reports promptly but do not guarantee a specific response time.
8. Intellectual Property of Project 84
P84 Social, its name, logos, software, and design elements are owned by Project 84 LLC or its licensors. You may not use our trademarks or branding without written permission. For copyright complaints, contact admin@project84.net with sufficient detail to identify the work and the allegedly infringing material.
9. Third-Party Services
The Services may link to or integrate third-party sites, payment processors, or platforms. Their terms and privacy practices apply to those interactions. Project 84 LLC is not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PROJECT 84 LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE OPERATION.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PROJECT 84 LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Project 84 LLC from claims arising out of your UGC, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for any violation of these Terms, risk to users, legal requirement, or extended inactivity. Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive.
14. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction apply. Before filing suit, you agree to contact admin@project84.net to attempt informal resolution. Any court proceeding must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Texas unless applicable law requires otherwise.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version at project84.net/social-terms/ with a new effective date. Continued use after the update constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
