P84 Social Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Project 84 LLC ("Project 84," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you access or use P84 Social — our family-oriented social network for short video, reels, live broadcasts, direct messages, creator profiles, shop features, and related services at project84.net and socialmedia.project84.net (collectively, the "Services"). This policy is written for publication and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before relying on it for regulatory compliance.
1. Scope and Definitions
"P84 Social" means the P84 Social application, website, APIs, and related features operated by Project 84 LLC. "User" means any person who accesses the Services. "Personal Information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be linked to a person, device, account, or household under applicable law. "User-Generated Content" or "UGC" means posts, comments, messages, live streams, profile information, shop listings, media uploads, and other content you submit through the Services.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on which features you use, we may collect:
- Account information: email address, username, display name, password (stored in hashed form), account type (parent, teen, child, creator), profile photo, bio, and verification status.
- Family and parental controls: parent–child account links, safety settings, restricted-mode preferences, and activity visibility settings chosen by a parent or guardian for managed accounts.
- Content and communications: videos, images, captions, comments, direct messages, live session metadata, shop listings, reports you file, and blocks you apply.
- Usage and device data: IP address, browser or app type, device identifiers, push notification tokens, crash logs, performance data, and general usage patterns (feeds viewed, features used, session times).
- Safety and moderation data: abuse reports, moderation decisions, automated safety signals, and records needed to enforce our Terms and protect users.
- Commerce (if enabled): purchase or tip metadata processed through platform payment providers; we do not receive full payment card numbers from Apple, Google, or Stripe when those providers process checkout.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve P84 Social.
- Create, authenticate, recover, and manage accounts.
- Deliver feeds, reels, live features, messaging, notifications, and creator tools.
- Apply parental controls, restricted modes, and family-safety settings.
- Detect, review, filter, and enforce rules for UGC, chat, live streams, and shop content.
- Respond to support requests, legal process, and user rights requests.
- Comply with law, platform requirements, and contractual obligations.
We do not sell your Personal Information for money. If we use analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this policy and provide required notices and choices.
4. User-Generated Content, Messages, and Live Features
P84 Social is built around UGC. Content you post or send may be visible to other users according to your settings and product design. Do not share sensitive personal information in public posts, live streams, or messages.
We may store, process, scan, or review UGC and communications using automated tools, human reviewers, or both to enforce safety rules, respond to reports, prevent harm, and comply with law. Parents of managed child accounts may have visibility into certain child activity as described in the product and in Section 5.
5. Children, Teens, and Parental Controls
P84 Social is designed with family safety in mind. Users under 13 may not self-register; a parent or legal guardian must create and manage a child account. Teens and child accounts may have restricted modes enabled by default, including limits on certain content, messaging, or live features.
Parents who create or manage child accounts may access safety settings and, where the product provides it, visibility into messages, calls, or posts for supervision purposes. If you believe we collected Personal Information from a child in violation of applicable law, contact admin@project84.net.
6. Moderation, Reporting, and Enforcement
Zero tolerance. P84 Social has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You may not use the Services to harass others, post illegal or exploitative material, spam, impersonate others, or circumvent safety controls.
You can report content or users in the app. We review reports and may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or contact law enforcement when appropriate. We may retain reports, moderation records, and related data for safety, enforcement, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
7. Sharing of Information
We may share information with:
- Service providers that help us host, secure, analyze, moderate, notify, or support the Services (for example, cloud hosting, email, push delivery, or payment processors).
- Other users, according to your settings and the nature of the content (for example, public posts or messages you send).
- Law enforcement, regulators, or advisors when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Services.
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to applicable law.
The Services may use Cloudflare and similar infrastructure providers for security, routing, and performance. Those providers may process IP addresses, request metadata, and security events as part of delivering their services.
8. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, local storage, session tokens, SDKs, and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, analytics, and performance. You may limit certain tracking through browser or device settings where available.
9. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including operating your account, maintaining safety records, resolving disputes, meeting legal obligations, and preventing repeat abuse. Retention periods may differ by data category. Deleted accounts may leave residual copies in backups for a limited period.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, such as access controls, encryption in transit, password hashing, and monitoring for suspicious activity. No system is perfectly secure; you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.
11. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain Personal Information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Parents may manage child account settings in the app. Privacy requests may be sent to admin@project84.net. We may need to verify your identity and may retain certain information where required by law or for safety and enforcement.
12. International Users
P84 Social is operated by Project 84 LLC in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at project84.net/social-privacy/ with a new effective date. Continued use of the Services after the update becomes effective constitutes acknowledgment of the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
